Job Description
We are seeking a Lead SailPoint Engineer / Architect to take ownership of a growing Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platform built on SailPoint IdentityIQ. This individual will act as the technical SME and decision-maker, driving the platform forward from a developing state to a mature, scalable solution.
This role is a hands-on technical leader position—blending deep SailPoint development expertise with architectural guidance. The ideal candidate has experience stabilizing and enhancing complex IdentityIQ environments, leading cross-functional efforts, and setting long-term direction for identity platforms.
This individual will play a critical role in guiding platform strategy, standardizing environments, influencing system design, and supporting upcoming enterprise initiatives, including a large-scale HR system transformation.
Responsibilities
-Act as the technical owner and SME for the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform
-Lead and influence architectural decisions and platform direction
-Provide hands-on development support including:
-Rule development (Beanshell)
-Workflow configuration and optimization
-Integration enhancements
-Drive platform maturity initiatives, including:
-Standardizing Dev, QA, and Production environments
-Improving stability and scalability of the implementation
-Lead efforts to enhance infrastructure and environment consistency
-Guide the integration of SailPoint across multiple domains and enterprise systems
-Partner with internal stakeholders to define and execute enhancement projects
-Provide oversight and direction to:
-Internal SailPoint developers and analysts
-External system integrators and managed service teams
-Act as a technical authority during major enterprise initiatives (e.g., HR system transformation), including:
-Reviewing high-level designs
-Validating integration approaches
-Supporting testing strategy and sign-off processes
-Mentor and elevate the existing team by establishing best practices and standards
-Define and drive the long-term roadmap and evolution of the SailPoint platform

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of SailPoint experience (ideally 8–10+ years)
-Strong expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ)
-Proven experience in a senior, lead, architect, or platform ownership role
-Hands-on development experience with:
-Java
-Beanshell (SailPoint rules)
-Workflows and provisioning logic
-Experience working with SQL-backed SailPoint environments
-Strong understanding of identity lifecycle processes (Joiner/Mover/Leaver)
-Experience supporting or leading SailPoint platform enhancements or upgrades
-Demonstrated ability to:
-Assess and improve an immature or evolving implementation
-Drive standardization across environments (Dev/QA/Prod)
- Experience integrating SailPoint with enterprise systems (e.g., AD, HRIS, etc.)
-Ability to act as a technical leader and decision-maker, not just an executor
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with SailPoint IIQ version upgrades (e.g., 8.4 → 8.5)
-Background in infrastructure/environment improvements (virtual → physical, environment scaling, etc.)
-Experience managing or scaling large multi-domain environments
-Familiarity with HR system integrations (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle Fusion, or similar)
-Prior experience working alongside or leading system integrators
-Exposure to OT / process control environments or highly regulated industries
-Experience building or improving QA and testing frameworks for identity systems
-Previous experience helping organizations mature their IGA capabilities
