The team currently operates within an Oracle-heavy environment, with initiatives underway to evolve toward more scalable and cloud-based database solutions. Key Responsibilities
• Administer and support Oracle and SQL Server database environments, including performance monitoring and optimization
• Operate and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager and other database management tools
• Support development, QA, and production database environments across the full lifecycle
• Manage database workloads, including provisioning, tuning, and troubleshooting
• Support and administer cloud-based database services (AWS RDS / Oracle RDS)
• Execute manual scripts and database processes, while identifying opportunities for automation where appropriate
• Contribute to automation initiatives (infrastructure builds automated; scripting still partially manual)
• Collaborate with architects and platform engineers on database strategy and modernization efforts
Ensure database environments meet audit and compliance requirements
