Job Description

An Insight Global customer is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their facilities team at a new manufacturing facility in North Phoenix. This person will be responsible for designing, installing, commissioning the electrical systems for the factory including medium and low voltage power distribution, emergency power systems, lighting, facility infrastructure and tool hookup. This role is one of the first key roles being hired at this new facility so there is immense opportunity for upward mobility in the future. It is expected that this person is capable of making an immediate impact without much training or oversight. Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing engineering drawings, submittals and driving construction project schedules and in alignment with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Partnering with electrical vendors to ensure proper equipment installation and commissioning.
- Support equipment testing and system validation procedures.
- Update and distribute electrical system documentation, manuals, and processes.
- Develop preventative maintenance systems and emergency response procedures.
- Further responsibilities related to capacity planning, and overall optimal system performance as the facility scales.

This role will operate full-time on-site at the new facility, including working out of construction trailers until the office is open in about 12 months. This is a full-time role and we can offer a salary between $130k and $150k plus bonuses and a generous benefits package. Exact compensation may vary based on education and experience.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 3 years of experience in designing and operating electrical systems for semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facilities.
Experience designing, installing and commissioning power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), ATS (Automative Transfer Switch) and emergency power systems.
Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications using tools like AutoCAD, Bluebeam or other Arc Flash tools.
Experience with NFPA 70 - National Electrical Code
