Job Description

This role owns the strategy and execution of PetSmart’s Customer Data Platform and AI/ML‑driven products. These platforms power personalization, recommendations, and advanced analytics across digital and marketing channels.

You’ll work closely with Data Science, Engineering, Marketing, and senior business leaders to turn customer data into real, customer‑facing products that drive measurable business results.
This is a hands‑on, senior‑level role in a space that’s still maturing — ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, setting vision, and influencing stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years in technical product management, data platforms, or AI/ML products
• Hands‑on experience delivering data or machine‑learning products to production
• Strong understanding of customer identity, personalization, and marketing data
• Knowledge of data privacy and governance (CCPA, GDPR)
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
• Ability to translate business and marketing goals into technical roadmaps
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams (Waterfall a plus)
• Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and business leaders
Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Personalization or recommendation systems experience
• Experimentation frameworks and model performance metrics
• Retail or customer‑focused industry background
Jira, Confluence, release management experience
