Insight Global is looking for Factory Automation Technician to join a growing team supporting the Advanced Manufacturing industry. Here is a clear, **5‑sentence day‑to‑day description** of the role:
On a daily basis, the Automation Technician II maintains and troubleshoots factory automation equipment such as conveyors, robotic stations, AMRs, and PLC‑controlled systems to keep production running smoothly. They perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment downtime, and use MES/SCADA data to identify issues and prevent repeat failures. The role supports equipment installations, startups, and modifications while working closely with engineers and vendors to improve system reliability. They document maintenance activities, follow standardized procedures, and help train and guide newer technicians on safe and effective troubleshooting practices. Throughout the shift, the technician ensures all work is completed safely, follows LOTO and 5S3R standards, and maintains a clean, organized work environment. This role can pay between 60K-76K based on an evaluation of relevant YOE and Education level.
