Job Description
A large organization is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Engineer, PE to join their Facility Services team. This role is pivotal in providing electrical engineering expertise and technical support for a variety of design and construction projects. The successful candidate will manage projects efficiently, cost-effectively, ensuring compliance with organization standards and industry best practices. Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Project Documentation and Field Reviews (30%)
• Review project documentation and perform field reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and codes.
• Coordinate with consultants and other design team members.
2. Design and Drawings Preparation (20%)
• Design electrical systems for building projects, including code review, lighting calculations, layout, one-line diagrams, and various electrical calculations.
• Write and edit electrical system specifications.
3. Commissioning and Testing (20%)
• Coordinate and participate in commissioning activities, acceptance testing, and reliability acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
4. Consultant Coordination and Standards Compliance (20%)
• Develop requests for proposals, scopes of work, review proposals, and select consulting engineers.
• Ensure Organization standards, policies, procedures, and best practices are applied throughout projects.
5. Technical Leadership and Expertise (10%)
• Provide technical leadership in design, commissioning, and construction projects.
• Prepare various electrical diagrams, calculations, schedules, and specifications.
• Manage small electrical design projects.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Valid registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Arizona
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
o Fault current calculations, Arch-Flash studies and labeling
• High level understanding and experience in the design of medium to low voltage electrical power distribution systems, motor control, standby power and uninterruptible power systems, drawings, and technical specifications
