Senior QA Lead

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior QA Lead to provide hands-on quality leadership across two Agile/Scrum teams. This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional who excels in manual testing, values collaboration and feedback, and enjoys mentoring others while maintaining accountability and transparency in their work.

While this role is primarily manual testing–focused, the successful candidate will also help guide the team toward increased test automation over time through strategy, influence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead manual testing efforts across two scrum teams.
• Review and write test cases, ensuring coverage and quality.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Oversee front-end web testing and ensure UI/UX consistency.
• Support test case management using Azure DevOps (ADO) or open-source tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Guide the team in transitioning toward automation over time.
• Conduct SQL queries for data validation, including joins and aggregations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 10–15 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on manual testing.
• Proven experience leading QA efforts within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Working knowledge of automation tools and frameworks (e.g., C#, Playwright, Java/Selenium).
• Experience with front-end web testing and UI validation.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation (complex query building not required).
• Familiarity with ADO, Jira, and Confluence for test case and project management.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and drive quality initiatives.
Experience in a Microsoft tech stack environment.

Nice to Have:
• Exposure to automation strategy and implementation.
Case management using Azure DevOps (ADO) - strong preference
