Job Description

Overview:
The Business Administrator supports the large organizations Financial Services Department with administrative, financial, and analytical tasks. Responsibilities include workflow support, budget assistance, program administration, data analysis, process updates, and preparing meeting materials.

Day‑to‑Day:
Support daily administrative and operational functions.
Assist with budget prep; monitor expenses and review financial documents.
Enter/review timekeeping data for payroll.
Conduct research to ensure compliance with laws and policies.
Update procedures, guidelines, and workflows.
Prepare agenda items and supporting documents for Council/meetings.
Coordinate service or maintenance requests with internal/external partners.
Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze programs, projects, and processes; prepare reports with findings.
Track data and prepare recommendations.
Support budgets (revenue, expenses, supplemental forms).
Serve as liaison across departments and partners.
Perform related administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years administrative, office operations, analytical, or similar experience.
Bachelor’s in Business/Public Administration or equivalent experience.
Experience supporting financial, administrative, or departmental functions.
Experience managing programs (travel, P‑cards, subscriptions, cell phones, etc.).
Proficiency with Excel, office software, databases, and email systems.
Strong written/verbal communication and basic business writing.
Experience conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
Experience using modern tools (including AI tools) to improve workflows.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Municipal/public‑sector (government) experience.
Experience preparing agenda items for leadership or council meetings.
Familiarity with compliance research (federal, state, local regulations).
Experience coordinating with internal staff or external service vendors.
