Job Description
A client of Insight Global that is leader in the activated carbon industry is expanding their sales team. The Senior Technical Sales Rep will be responsible for the sale of activated carbon, equipment and services as well as growing and maintaining current business relationships within the defined geographical and/or market specific territories. This position is responsible for municipal and/or industrial sales for various markets such as environmental, chemical, food, drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, and process applications, and requires selling/influencing decision makers in procurement, operations, management, consulting engineers, general contractors, etc. Typical territory revenue responsibility $12-$20 MM (not confined to this range). This role has more autonomy for managing his/her territory than the TSR IV role.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
• Develop, document, and manage sales proposals and customer communications in alignment with company standards, leveraging CRM tools to capture customer insights, market intelligence, competitive activity, and bid outcomes
• Drive territory performance by managing sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and execution of sales and marketing strategies to achieve annual revenue and profit goals
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, market analysis, and strategic customer engagement
• Expand and strengthen the assigned business portfolio by building long-term, high-value relationships across target markets
• Maintain strong, multi-level relationships with key stakeholders across consulting engineering firms, utilities, manufacturing companies, and other market influencers
• Deliver exceptional customer service through a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and evolving market dynamics
• Conduct regular outbound and follow-up sales activities to nurture leads, advance opportunities through the sales cycle, and maintain a healthy pipeline
• Coordinate and deliver technical presentations, webinars, seminars, and Lunch & Learn sessions, and contribute to the development of market-relevant marketing collateral
• Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade organizations, and market-specific events to support business development efforts
• Communicate effectively with management regarding territory performance, opportunities, risks, and special initiatives, while promoting health, safety, and professional business practices

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours Monday - Friday, typically 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Travel: 50%; air, automobile, and overnight travel to visit customer sites, and company meetings

Required Skills & Experience
A Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required
7-10 years of Technical Sales Experience is required
Experience in chemical manufacturing/industrial sales
Experienced managing / growing a portfolio of $10MM+
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
An MBA is preferred
