Job Description

Our client is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead Energy Isolation Management on a mission-critical datacenter build-out. This role ensures compliance with Microsoft safety standards, drives consistency, and mitigates risk across all energy isolation activities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and enforce the Energy Isolation Program using SPS-101 standards.
Audit and close gaps in isolation processes; maintain program documentation.
Review SoWs, MOPs, and scripts to confirm all energy sources are identified.
Establish centralized LOTO procedures and permit processes.
Verify training, qualifications, and PPE for all personnel.
Act as SME in incident investigations and stop unsafe work immediately.
Liaise with Microsoft Operations to prevent impact on live datacenter systems.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years technical engineering experience OR
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering + 2 years OR
Master’s in Electrical Engineering + 1 year

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in datacenter or advanced technology projects
Expertise in hazardous energy control and NFPA 70E compliance
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and ensure LOTO effectiveness
Familiarity with MEP systems and critical electrical equipment (UPS, switchgear, generators)
