Job Description

Network Operations & Monitoring
• Manage and monitor fiber optic network performance to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Operate and maintain a 24x7x365 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
Network Design & Planning
• Develop and implement network architecture strategies for scalability and security.
• Plan upgrades and expansions for Middle Mile Broadband Network infrastructure.
Security & Compliance
• Apply best practices for network security and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL framework and organizational standards.
Troubleshooting & Support
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across MPLS, DWDM, and Cisco platforms.
• Provide support for networks with 500+ managed devices and 500+ locations.
Collaboration & Documentation
• Work with cross-functional teams on network projects and service improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, incidents, and changes.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Support clients across large geographic areas (5,000+ square miles).
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years managing large-scale fiber optic networks.
10+ years experience with MPLS and DWDM technologies.
10+ years working with Cisco routed and optical network infrastructure.
Proven ability to:
• Oversee network operations.
• Ensure network security.
• Lead network planning and design.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field.

CCIE Service Provider certification
