Job Description

As a service technician, you will receive calls from the Service Resource Center detailing equipment or system malfunctions. Your role involves contacting customer representatives to identify problems, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other building systems at customer sites. You will follow troubleshooting procedures, refer to technical manuals, and service various Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell. Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals is essential. Excellent customer service is crucial, as you will communicate with district staff and customers to ensure satisfaction. You will complete service acknowledgements using smart devices, obtain customer signatures, participate in on-call rotations, mentor team members, and provide solutions to improve building efficiencies. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of Commercial Fire Alarm Experience
High School Diploma
Valid Driver's License
Capable of climbing heights and lifting 50-70 lbs
Experience reading blueprints, knowledge of test equipment

Nicet II - Highly Preferred
