The Power Quality Engineer will be joining the Distribution Operations team. and their responsibilities will includde:
Provide technical support to APS O&M personnel including Operations, Troublemen, Key Account Managers, and other field personnel regarding power quality issues and post event analysis.
Troubleshoot customer related complaints in regard to harmonics, flicker, equipment operation/malfunction, and work with external customers as required.
Support APS field personnel in setting up power quality recording equipment (i.e. PMI Revolution and/or Dranetz HDPQ) for data measurement (voltage, current, harmonics, etc).
Perform modeling, simulation and analysis on distribution circuits using the CYME distribution modeling tool and ensure valid distribution feeder models are maintained in both CYME and ADMS systems.
Perform studies to ensure system protection and coordination, voltage, and flicker requirements are being met for new loads and system modifications.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of industry trends and technology through involvement and/or interaction with research institutes (EPRI, etc.), industry peer groups, and regulatory bodies (ACC).

A four year Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or related applied science discipline
At least 5 years working experience in Engineering-related positions.
Must have a background in the electrical power industry
