Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer II to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects and services in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will gain valuable exposure to the Renewables industry, particularly in Solar and Battery Storage projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development:
Complete civil engineering designs and generate construction plans, specifications, technical calculations, exhibits, and reports.
Utilize Civil 3D for alignments, profiles, and grading features to produce engineered construction plans and sheet setups.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of Site Grading & Storm Drainage, Erosion and Sediment Control, and Storm Water Best Management Practices, with a strong desire to learn and grow in civil engineering design.
Project Management:
Adhere to project schedules and allotted hours as directed by Project Managers and Technical Leads.
Review client-provided information and topographic surveys to ensure data sufficiency for civil design.
Compliance & Safety:
Follow internal and client procedures and standards to ensure compliance and safety.
Technical Expertise:
Exhibit attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
Engage in multiple projects to ensure successful requirement deliveries.
Work independently and collaboratively with team members as a self-starter.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent.
2-5 years of experience in civil engineering.
Intermediate proficiency in 2D CAD and Civil 3D CAD (able to create basic alignments and existing profiles).
Familiarity with Google Earth, Microsoft Suite, AutoTURN, PVCase/PV Farm, ArcGIS, Hydraflow, HydroCAD.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

EIT certification preferred.
Experience in Hydrology.
Experience with renewable energy projects (Solar, BESS substations).
Ability to evaluate design alternatives to solve constructability, code, and site challenges.
Experience with regulatory agencies and review professionals for permitting and coordination.
