Insight Global is looking for an Equipment Engineer to join the Engineering team of a cutting edge Fab in Chandler, AZ. This Engineer will need to have prior semiconductor experience and be an expert in supporting plating equipment. This individual is responsible for identifying and reducing sources of variation, implementing zero defect processes, defining tool qualification procedures, improving tool utilization and availability, in addition to reducing cycle times. Infrequent tasks include identifying and qualifying new tools, and supporting development or transfer activities.
Key Job Functions:
Improving tool utilization and availability
Supporting process development activities
Process development and optimization
Developing and writing specifications
Good understanding of MSA and tool calibrations
Reducing overall cost by improving tool performance and reducing scrap
Developing and writing standard work procedures and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP)
Implementation of process SPC using Six-Sigma statistical methodology
Working with manufacturing and industrial engineering for capacity planning and modeling
Participating in and/or leading cross-functional and lean activity teams
Sourcing and process releasing new equipment
Training process technicians in dispositioning wafers in process out of control situations
Training wafer FAB associates in process tool operation using our standard work process
Identification and reduction of recurrent machine faults
