Job Description

One of our clients is seeking a Data Security Architect to join their team. This role involves supporting a Master Data Management (MDM) platform as the client develops a customer data platform (CDP). The Data Security Architect will be responsible for discovery, design, architecture, and implementation of data security solutions. They will ensure that all deployments meet compliance standards and may need to develop new standards as necessary. The client is currently customizing the CDP with a third party, and the Data Security Architect will oversee the security aspects of this implementation, ensuring it integrates securely with the MDM. Additionally, they will identify where data resides and evaluate its security to implement effective protection measures.

Responsibilities:
Integrate platform with existing Okta IAM system
Design and establish new set of security roles
Align the clients user base to newly defined security roles
Establish security operations for security maintenance
Establish process for GDPR & CCPA compliance on data platform
Integrate data platforms with SEIM system
Lead these phases for data security solutions, ensuring robust protection measures.
Provide expertise in supporting the MDM platform, crucial for the creation of the CDP.
Ensure all deployments meet compliance standards, including privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
Develop and enforce data security standards and best practices.
Work closely with the data management team to ensure secure handling and storage of data.
Oversee the security aspects of the CDP implementation, ensuring it integrates securely with the MDM.
Identify where data resides and evaluate its security, implementing measures to protect it.
Provide direction, guidance, and recommendations to ensure security baselines are met.
Ensure adherence to privacy laws and regulations throughout all data management processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of experience as a Data Security Architect
- Hands-on experience in Master Data Management (MDM) projects
- Experience in integrating platforms with Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems
- In-depth understanding of Azure Cloud services, including security best practices and tools
- Proficiency in working with Snowflake and Databricks, ensuring secure data storage, processing, and analytics
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations
o Strong understanding and experience in establishing processes for GDPR and CCPA compliance on data platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
