The Medical Assistant in this OBGYN office supports physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care. They will be responsible for the following: record patient medical histories and vital signs. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assist physicians during exams and procedures, such as pelvic exams and Pap smears. Perform routine laboratory tests, such as pregnancy tests and STI screenings. Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the physician. Provide patient education on reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, contraceptive options, and other related topics.
