Job Description

On a day-to-day basis, you will be acting as a Remote Gate Agent supporting thousands of drivers across the country and using a two-way Audio/video communication to verify/identity any necessary specifications on trucks and processes, while coordinating, communicating, and providing updates on a daily basis to all parties involved in the arrival, loading, unloading and departure at warehouses, facilities and distribution centers. We are looking for candidates that are extremely detail oriented, can work in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency, and are quick learners and technically savvy. This team is able to take on all gate operations and allow those associates onsite to focus on the daily operations onsite that need to be completed. On a daily basis, you will be speaking to roughly 200 drivers a day, so excellent and clear communication is a must. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite, in the office in Tempe, the first 3 weeks of training, no exceptions, and hybrid after training. You will work from home after training 3 days per week and onsite in the office 2 days per week.

Your permanent schedule after training will fall over the weekend (both Saturdays and Sundays) and your first 3 weeks of the job will be training which will be Monday-Friday. Amazon operates 24/7 365, so being okay working on all major holidays including but not limited to Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Xmas Eve, and New Years Eve, is a must, as well as a heavy amount of OT and MOT (mandatory overtime) is important for this team this time of year.

Required Skills & Experience

-1+ year of recent relevant experience in a heavy phone support role or customer service role with a large enterprise company

- Must be comfortable in a heavy phone support role taking close to 200 transactions per day

- Excellent professionalism is a must!

- Overall technically savvy, and must be a quick learner

- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once, and must have ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced environment

- Must be ok working onsite first 3 weeks of training, hybrid after training, and must be ok working a weekend schedule with possibly later hours. Must be ok working lots of OT hours, sometimes resulting in a 6th day of work/60 hour work week

- All candidates must be ok working over national and federal holidays as Amazon operates 365 24/7.
