SUMMARY
As a GitHub Actions Support Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and adoption of GitHub Actions within our organization. Your primary focus will be troubleshooting, resolving issues, and supporting engineering teams as they integrate and utilize GitHub Actions for their workflows. You'll collaborate closely with technical teams, providing expert guidance and driving adoption across the company. Responsibilities include the following:
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve technical issues related to GitHub Actions.
Diagnose problems, analyse logs, and provide timely solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot workflow failures.
Support and Guidance:
Assist engineering teams in adopting GitHub Actions.
Provide technical support via email, Slack, or ticketing systems.
Educate users on best practices and effective use of GitHub Actions.
Documentation and Training:
Contribute to knowledge base articles and documentation.
Develop training materials and conduct workshops to promote GitHub Actions adoption.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up to date with GitHub Actions features, updates, and best practices.
Propose enhancements and optimizations to improve workflows.

Strong understanding of Git and GitHub.
Proficiency in YAML for defining GitHub Actions workflows.
Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
Strong understanding of public cloud fundamentals (AWS, GCP preferred).
Familiarity with other CI/CD platforms, containerization, and orchestration (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Scripting or programming skills (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
Experience with GitHub Enterprise.
