Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant for one of our education technology clients located in Tempe, AZ. Our client's mission is to empower performance across the education life cycle through intelligent solutions.



We are in need of someone who has a strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. As a Sr. Accountant you will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, completing daily/month end closing and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparing the daily treasury report. You will work closely with independent auditors during our client's annual financial statement audit where you will prepare schedules, invoices, and providing explanations of supporting materials and procedures. We are looking for someone who will be responsible for the accounts payable/accounts receivables, various reconciliations, and cash receipts. You will have one direct report, a Junior Accountant that will be able to assist you in these tasks.

Other responsibilities include:

- Maintaining records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material, updating records as necessary.

- Posting accounts to the General Ledger including but not limited to the following:

o Accounts Receivable

o Cash Receipts

o Accounts Payable

o Cash Disbursements

o Payroll

- Preparing and timely submitting the budgets and annual financial reports to the regulatory agencies

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of experience in accounting

- Extensive knowledge of GAAP

- Experience working in a school setting (ideally Charter school or K-12)

- Experience with QuickBooks (ideally Enterprise)

- Strong Excel experience

- Previous mentorship experience
