An oncology provider in Prescott, AZ is looking to hire an entry level Medical Assistant to join their growing team. You will be responsible for escorting patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as appropriate. You will record patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. You will obtain all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures. You will prepare and stock exam/ treatment rooms and order supplies as needed. You will also assist physicians with exams and procedures. As a member of this team, you will administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by RN or physician, as well as maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols. You will also be at the front desk answering patient calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist. You will phone in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN. You will also be responsible for informing physicians of patient reschedules and no shows and perform other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc. as requested by supervisor or physician.
-Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants OR EMT Cert or CNA
-High School Diploma
