Job Description
We are looking for qualified and motivated physician assistants to join our otolaryngology practice. As a physician assistant, you will work under the supervision of our board-certified Physicians and Surgeons to provide comprehensive care for patients with ear, nose, and throat disorders.
Responsibilities:
* Evaluate new and follow-up patients, perform physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and document findings in electronic medical records.
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as audiograms, tympanograms, nasal endoscopies, and CT scans.
* Diagnose and treat common ENT conditions, such as otitis media, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, tonsillitis, and laryngitis.
* Prescribe medications, perform minor procedures; including scopes, nasal cautery, biopsies etc...., and provide patient education and counseling.
* Assist in the preoperative and postoperative care of surgical patients, such as performing wound care, removing sutures, and monitoring for complications.
* Collaborate with other health care professionals, such as audiologists, speech therapists, and allergists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education activities, and professional development programs.
Required Skills & Experience
* Master's degree from an accredited physician assistant program.
* Current or ability to obtain license and certification as a physician assistant in the state of Arizona.
* Current DEA registration and CPR certification.
* At least one year of experience as a physician assistant in otolaryngology or a related field (one rotation in a related field in school is acceptable).
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other medical software (Athena preferred)
