Job Description

Core Technology Services (CTS) Communications will drive the development of all types of communications and presentations across our product development, program and project management organization within Schwab Technology Services. You will be a great fit if you are an experienced communications professional who has a passion for storytelling, attention to detail, and can translate the big picture into compelling content for a variety of audiences. The Communications Manager role will serve as a key contributor to sustaining a professional, customer-centered brand. The role will support the organization with internal and external messaging, building and maintaining communications and collaboration tools (i.e., SharePoint, MS Teams, Outlook, etc.) and assisting with their hosted content. The Communications Manager role is also a trusted expert in communication strategy, helping teams achieve objectives and/or overcome obstacles. What you are good at: You will work with team members across the organization to develop, manage, and execute communications to drive alignment, share information, and showcase the organization’s innovations and advancements. • Experienced writer and creative storyteller who develops concise yet specific content for assigned initiatives regarding technical subjects/topics in situations where content does not exist for all levels of audiences • Ability to distill large amounts of complex information and synthesize into clear, easy to understand content • Editing and formatting content to deliver quality communications • Writing eloquently knowing how to tell a good story with the right message for the audience, whether through a PowerPoint deck, email, Confluence page, or Sharepoint site • Leading a coordinated effort among members of a cross-functional team (technology, business, and/or project stakeholders from individual contributors to senior leaders) to ensure that all goals, timelines, and expectations are clearly understood while ensuring the project stays on track and on time • Experience supporting senior leaders and executives in various forms of communications • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, ideally with experience and knowledge within a large technology organization • Ability to work quickly and independently but are naturally collaborative and comfortable integrating across multiple subject areas • Adaptable multi-tasker, with high sense of urgency
