Overview:
A large public safety company based in Scottsdale is looking for an additional Testing Automation Engineer to add to a growing team. In this role, the Product Testing Automation Engineer will have full design ownership over test stands for next generation life-saving technology from conceptualization through production, whose work is highly visible to even the most senior executives. You'll be joining a tight-knit team comprised of amateur grease monkeys, enthusiastic outdoorsman, aspiring pitmasters, and devoted dog lovers. Your passionate leadership and cross-functional collaboration with product managers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams is vital to the success of the team and ensuring the safety of the public for generations to come.
Day to Day:
Drive and assist developing fixtures for Verification, Validation, and Reliability departments.
Utilize creative problem-solving skills to lead ideation of new test methods that are both time and resource saving.
Work autonomously and collaboratively in an empowering and fast-paced environment.
Join Forces across multiple teams such as R&D, Failure Analysis, and Validation to provide testing fixtures.
Hone your engineering expertise in a dynamic learning environment focused on personal and professional development.
Required Skills & Experience
Use of Arduino, Pi's, and CNC controllers
Minimum 2+ years of test stand design and programing user safe UI's.
Ability to be self-sufficient with both firmware and hardware development for automated testing.
Design for 3D printed fixtures.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/Mechatronics or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with SpaceClaim, Fusion, Creo or similar 3D CAD software

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with PCB/PCBA flex circuit and other electro-mechanical integration and testing methods.
Knowledge in the design of plastic injection molded, stamped metal, die-cast, and machined parts for better understanding of how to test.
