Job Description

Insight Global is seeking Secret Cleared GNC Simulations Engineers in the Metro Phoenix, AZ Area. Our client provides innovative solutions for national security, commercial aerospace, and space exploration. As a GNC Simulation Engineer you will be responsible for running simulations of guidance, navigation, and control systems for aerospace You will work closely with other GNC engineers and stakeholders to ensure that the simulations meet customer requirements and performance specifications. You will also have experience and knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and be able to read and modify existing code as needed.



Responsibilities:

- Run simulations of guidance, navigation, and control systems for aerospace applications, including missile guidance and control, aircraft control, and spacecraft guidance and control.

- Develop and maintain simulation models, including mathematical models and software models.

- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that the simulations meet customer requirements and performance specifications.

- Conduct analyses and simulations to evaluate system performance under various conditions, such as different vehicle configurations, environmental conditions, and mission scenarios.

- Participate in the integration and testing of guidance, navigation, and control systems in the laboratory and in-flight test programs.

- Support the development and implementation of processes and tools for simulation engineering and development.

Required Skills & Experience

- An Active DoD Secret Clearance is strongly preferred or must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a DOD Clearance.

- A minimum of 5 years experience working within the defense industry.

- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of guidance, navigation, and control principles and systems.

- Experience with simulation model development and maintenance, including mathematical models and software models.

- Must be able to read, analyze and modify existing Object Oriented Programming (OOP).

- Must have experience with Matlab as a tool for modeling and simulation

- Experience with flight test programs and data analysis.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with C++ is highly preferred.

- Experience within guidance, navigation, and controls engineering (GNC).

- Experience with Simulink, or Python.

- Experience in modeling and simulation of guidance, navigation, and control systems for aerospace applications.

- Control Systems Theory knowledge or experience
