Insight Global is looking for a passionate Java full-stack developer for a large client in the education space. As a member of their PHX rising team, you will be focused on advancing the student portal. You will perform the development of front-end and back-end operations on websites and computer systems using ReactJS/Redux, Node.js, Java/Spring, RESTful API design, AWS, and Terraform. You will help the team prepare for the media blitz across the .edu space. You will be working mainly with their online blackboard website, where students and faculty log in daily. You will be working to advance and grow this website alongside your team. You will work with a product team of 6 engineers, 1 product and delivery manager, and 1 technical lead to identify what issues their internal staff is having. You will be responsible for fine-tuning and improving a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects, as well as gathering and analyzing system requirements, document specifications, and developing software solutions to meet client needs and data. You will code new programs to the client's specifications and create test data for testing. You will modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs. Lastly, you will be responsible for creating migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
-4+ years of strong core Java development experience using Spring or Spring Boot framework
-Strong front-end experience working with ReactJS/Redux, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
-Cloud experience specifically working with AWS and Terraform
-An outgoing personality with a coachable attitude to learn new skills/technologies
