Job Description

An employer in Tampa, Florida is looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to sit on-site in Phoenix, AZ. This person

will:

Work through previously built SSRS/Power BI packages to identify issues and re-build solutions- especially for high priority or complex ad-hoc data requests.

Review requests, meet with users and gather requirements for requested data needs, maintaining documentation of request and communicating status until completion.

Own and manage the BI/DW ticket queue for the reporting team.

Define and improve the architecture of the data warehousing and business intelligence environments.

Develop, maintain/enhance the database structures (data modelling, indexing, etc.).

Develop, maintain/enhance and troubleshoot the data load scripts, jobs and packages (ETL).

Provide basic DBA support in monitoring the environment and backups, responding to issues and partnering with offsite DBA support on major issues.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in a database, BI, or data warehouse development role

3+ years of experience interacting with enterprise application systems- Deep understanding the front and back end. When you're building reports, knowing how to search reports on the front end to make sure it connects on the back end so users can see what is going on.

Experience with SSRS/SSIS and Report Builder, Power BI

Experience with high-level DBA terminology, concepts, and actions

Process improvement and SQL optimization, experience making changes to make processes better

Knowledge of C# (a lot of what they will be doing is in C#), Python and/or PowerShell, or ability to read through scripting languages

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

D365 and Azure experience

Visual Studio experience
