Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Business Analyst for a 6-month contract with a high possibility of extensions. A successful candidate is expected to go into the office 4 days a week and will support a large-scale infrastructure and technology optimization program, leading requirements gathering, business process analysis, and solution definition across IT and operational technology environments. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Operations, and IT teams, ensuring business needs are translated into clear, actionable requirements that support successful project delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Architects, Business Partners, vendors, and operational stakeholders throughout the demand-to-delivery lifecycle, supporting governance, testing, change management, and solution adoption. Candidates should be located in Canada and have experience supporting large-scale IT, infrastructure, or industrial technology projects.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of Business Analysis experience
- 3+ years of experience supporting large-scale or complex IT/technology projects
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements
- Demonstrated experience with process modeling, requirements traceability, and acceptance testing
Proven ability to translate business and operational requirements into technical solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with both business and technical audiences
- Experience with requirements management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365
- Experience supporting multi-stakeholder projects from requirements through implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex and ambiguous environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or other Business Analysis certification
- Experience in energy, utilities, pipeline, industrial, or operational technology (OT) environments
- Experience with IT/OT systems, infrastructure, telecommunications, or SCADA solutions
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, physical security, end-user technology, SaaS, and data management initiatives
- Experience supporting capital projects or major project portfolios
- Proficiency with Visio, BPMN, Miro, Power BI, Copilot, and PowerPoint
- Experience defining data requirements, data quality rules, and reporting solutions
- Familiarity with stage-gate governance frameworks and structured project delivery methodologies
- Experience supporting change management, training development, and operational handover activities
- Exposure to data architecture, data stewardship, and enterprise reporting programs
