Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in managing the financial performance of assigned programs. This position is based in-office in Calgary, Alberta and involves providing comprehensive financial analysis, implementing Earned Value Management (EVM) processes, and delivering actionable insights to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The role partners closely with program managers and stakeholders to manage cost controls, reporting, forecasting, and compliance with GAAP and contractual requirements, while supporting strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- CPA designation (active or nearing completion)
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, cost control, or program management
- Strong expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and metrics (CPI, SPI)
- Experience setting up and managing cost control systems and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes (including journal entries and accruals)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex financial data clearly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience in aerospace, defense, or similar regulated industries
- Familiarity with government contracting and compliance requirements
- Experience managing program cash flow and invoicing cycles
- Exposure to integrated cost and schedule forecasting
Bilingual in French and English
