Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Financial Analyst to join a high-performing, collaborative finance team on a 6 month contract with the intent to convert to a permanent position. The successful candidate will be supporting enterprise-level reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities. This individual will play a key role in preparing executive- and board-level financial presentations, consolidating data from multiple business units, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial deliverables.
This role is well-suited for a new graduate or early-career professional (0–2 years) with strong accounting fundamentals, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. This position will be 4 days/week onsite in Calgary, Alberta.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
-Strong understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and their interdependencies
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and PowerPoint (executive-ready presentations)
-Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail
-Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with cross-functional teams
-Demonstrated interest in learning the business and leveraging data to support decision-making

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Previous experience preparing presentations for senior leadership or executives
-Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools
-CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA
-Prior internship or co-op experience in a corporate finance or accounting environment
