Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer (Intermediate–Senior) to join a major Canadian insurance client on a long‑term engagement operating in 1‑month Agile sprints. This role will focus on designing, configuring, and enhancing Guidewire PolicyCenter applications including UI configuration, integrations, workflows, and customization of out‑of‑the‑box features. Working closely with Solution Designers, BSAs, QAs, developers, and vendor partners, the developer will translate business and technical requirements into scalable implementation plans, perform technical analysis, write clean Gosu and Java/J2EE code, and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards. Day‑to‑day work includes building enhancements, performing unit testing, supporting system and UAT cycles, troubleshooting and resolving defects, and contributing to implementation, back‑out, and disaster recovery planning. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, detail‑oriented, and comfortable driving technical outcomes in a fast‑moving environment. This is a 12 month contract with the requirement to be in office 2 days per week in Calgary or Toronto.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of Guidewire PolicyCenter development experience (configuration, integrations, workflows).
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments with tools such as Git or Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence
• Guidewire Developer Associate Certification (required for senior consideration)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Hands‑on experience with SOAP and RESTful web services
SQL experience with one or more databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
