Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer to join a high‑impact data integrity team supporting Alpha Tech, responsible for delivering real‑time and batch data that power performance KPIs. This role involves end‑to‑end project execution within Agile 2‑week sprints, including onboarding diverse data sources, defining transformation requirements, and collaborating with QC for validation. The engineer will perform validation and unit testing of data pipelines, integrate solutions into Snowflake, and contribute to both optimization efforts and new project builds. The environment includes ETL development, API integrations across varied data formats, and deployment within Azure and Kubernetes. We are seeking an intermediate resource who is willing to learn and grow within a collaborative team. This is a 1‑year contract with the expectation to be on site in downtown Calgary 3 days per week.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience as a data engineer or relevant
• Hands on experience with python (scripting, transcribing data from pipeline sources)
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with a data warehouse (data bricks or snowflake)
• Exposure to unit testing, validation and integration testing
Experience with ETL Development, end-to-end pipeline ownership including extraction, transformation, loading, and validation
