Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Test Engineering to join a large technology manufacturing client onsite, 5 days a week, in a permanent position in Calgary, Alberta. The Manager, Manufacturing Test Engineering will lead testing on the production floor where all products are assembled and manufactured for customers worldwide. This role will oversee improvements and development of test equipment, ensure projects are delivered on time, and provide hands-on support from circuit board manufacturing through to final assembly and service. The successful candidate will directly manage a team of 4 Test Engineers and collaborate closely with Process Engineers and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

•7+ years of experience in electronics testing within a mid-to-high volume manufacturing environment
•3-5 years of leadership experience managing technical teams
•Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma accreditation
•Exceptional understanding of modern circuit board assembly test methodologies
•Strong knowledge of electronics and assembly industry best practices
•Competence development/debugging; experience in C, C++, and/or Java considered an asset
•Exposure to electronic circuits and PCB layout design
•Hands-on approach, actively working on the manufacturing floor alongside QA engineers.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with LabView or Python
-Experience with RF test design (cellular, GPS, and other bands), data analysis and database management, and familiarity with gas detection systems
-BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
