Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Integration Developer on a 10‑month contract (with high possibility of extension) to support critical integration initiatives for a leading Canadian insurance organization. The selected candidate will design, develop, and maintain integration solutions connecting legacy in‑house systems (SIS) with modern platform (Send), ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency. The Delegated Authority Management System project integrating the legacy with the modern system where the system ingest broker information for data cleansing. This role includes building and deploying services using Spring Boot and Java, containerizing applications on Red Hat OpenShift, and leveraging AWS and Kubernetes for scalability. The Integration Developer will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, apply Agile and DevOps practices, and contribute to ETL data tracking solutions. The most important aspect of the position is the ability to bridge legacy and modern systems while maintaining reliability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will be located in Calgary or Toronto, with the requirement of being in office two days per week.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as an Developer, with ability to integrate legacy systems with modern platforms, ensuring data consistency and operational efficiency
• Advanced experience in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot, with strong knowledge of Java design principles
• Hands‑on experience with SOAP/RESTful Web Services, XML, JavaScript, and Loopback frameworks
• Proficiency in containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, deployed on Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS)
• Strong background in database technologies: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles, including test‑driven development (JUnit), CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins), and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
