Insight Global is looking for a Senior Database and Integration Engineer to join one of our top clients in Calgary or Toronto. This individual will focus on managing and improving SQL infrastructure while also working closely with data integration and manipulation. They will investigate data flows, identify where issues lie between source and target systems, and ensure data consistency throughout migrations. A logical approach to resolving integration issues and the ability to proactively monitor and stabilize systems is key. The role will blend infrastructure and data responsibilities, bridging SQL backend management with hands-on data transformation efforts.

8-10+ years of overall experience, with 5+ years in a senior capacity
Strong background in data infrastructure and integration
Hands-on experience with on-prem SQL or VM SQL environments
Experience working with SQL clusters across nodes (not just theoretical knowledge)
Proficient in proactive health checks and maintaining SQL stability (not reactive)
Strong SQL skills for both infrastructure and data manipulation
Experience with complex data flows and identifying root causes of integration issues
