Insight Global is currently recruiting for a Turnaround Planner for one of Canada's largest oil and gas companies. This will be starting as a 12 month contract. This is a hybrid opportunity (3 days per week) located in downtown Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will be required to travel to site on a monthly basis (3-4 days) and during the turnaround execution phase.
Key Accountabilities:
Review and validate job scope for clarity of work requests
Perform field verifications for planning-related measures
Prepare job plans that logically sequence tasks, align multiple crafts, minimize equipment downtime, and maximize safe, efficient, and effective resource use
Prepare job plans with detailed planned costs, including parts, materials, special tools, external services, and documentation
Maximize resource productivity by identifying and coordinating the supply of parts, materials, special tools, external services, and rental equipment, while preparing relevant documentation
Ensures executability of the job plan prior to releasing to execution, review constraints before releasing work orders. Escalate issues when due dates cannot be met
Manage planning backlog, maintain, and continuously improve job plans and task lists and maintenance plans
Facilitate planning meetings and initiate integration between maintenance and other business functions
Creation and management of measurement points in Maximo

5+ years of experience working in maintenance and turnaround planning and scheduling experience in the Oil and Gas industry
Journeyman Trade certification or Engineering Degree
Planning and/or scheduling experience particularly on fixed assets (vessels, tanks, exchangers, PSVs, tubing)
Understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling processes
A valid drivers license and a clean driving record
