Insight Global is looking to hire a junior Business Analyst to join one of Alberta's utility companies on a 6-8 month contract. This candidate will report into the Supervisor of Process Performance Management and will provide BA support to the Gas & Pipelines division. This candidate must sit in either Calgary or Edmonton and work in office 3-days a week.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1) Project Support
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
- Improve systems by studying current practices and suggesting/designing modifications
- Identify problems and write improved procedures
2) Process Optimization
- Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes.
- Suggest changes to Project Sponsors using analytics to support your recommendations
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
- Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
