Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Network Ops Engineer to focus on the security environment of a customer's Global Network Services Delivery Team. In this role, you will plan, implement, oversee, and maintain critical technology platforms that support Ecolab’s global operations. You will provide both hands-on technical expertise and procedural guidance to ensure our infrastructure (network, server, firewall, and cloud platforms) is robust, secure, and high-performing. Working under limited supervision and in collaboration with cross-functional IT teams, you will play a key part in ensuring business continuity – from proactive performance tuning to initiating swift recovery actions when issues arise. This role offers the opportunity to lead small-scale projects and research efforts to improve our platform services, while growing your expertise within a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- Technical Proficiency: Broad knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure. Experience with networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP) and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) is required to support GNS initiatives. Knowledge & skills in server administration (Windows and/or Linux) and Bluecat/DNS concepts and familiarity with virtualization or cloud computing environments.
- Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automating tasks and managing configurations. Experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Terraform, or CI/CD pipelines) is highly valued, as it aligns with our drive toward automated platform management.
- Strong Vulnerability Remediation background- Patching, Assessments, must understand all aspects of network from perimeter to interior systems.
- Advanced experience supporting and troubleshooting Firewalls, Palo Alto L5s
- Sound familiarity with Cloud Network Architecture
- Cisco Switching, Routing and Voice knowledge
- Must have experience with Strata Cloud Manager (SCM)
- Cisco DNA Center
- Bluecat
