SAP FICO/RAR Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP RAR, FICO, and FICA Functional Consultant to support the design, implementation, enhancement, and optimization of SAP financial solutions. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert across Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FICA), partnering with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant financial processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, revenue recognition, financial accounting, billing and collections, and cross-functional integration with SD, BRIM, and other SAP modules.
Responsibilities
• Lead requirements gathering sessions with finance, accounting, revenue, and billing stakeholders.
• Configure and support SAP RAR, FICO, and FICA solutions to meet business and regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement revenue recognition processes in compliance with IFRS 15 and ASC 606.
• Configure and support:
o General Ledger (GL)
o Accounts Payable (AP)
o Accounts Receivable (AR)
o Asset Accounting (AA)
o Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
o Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
o Internal Orders
o Product Costing
o COPA (Profitability Analysis)
• Support SAP FICA processes including:
o Contract Accounts Receivable & Payable
o Billing and Invoicing
o Dispute Management
o Collections and Dunning
o Payment Processing
o Cash Application
• Configure and maintain SAP RAR components including:
o Revenue Accounting Items (RAIs)
o Revenue Contracts
o Performance Obligations (POBs)
o Revenue Allocation
o Revenue Recognition Rules
• Collaborate with technical teams for enhancements, integrations, data migration, and reporting requirements.
• Work closely with business users during testing, defect resolution, training, and deployment activities.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation projects, upgrades, and system integrations.
• Create functional specifications and collaborate with development teams on custom solutions.
• Participate in production support activities, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• 5+ years of SAP functional consulting experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP RAR, SAP FICO, SAP BRIM, and SAP FICA.
• Experience implementing and supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition concepts and accounting principles.
• Experience with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of OTC (Order-to-Cash), Record-to-Report (R2R), and billing processes.
• Experience conducting business process analysis, system configuration, testing, and user training.
• Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
• Experience supporting full lifecycle SAP implementations.
