A client in the Anchorage, Alaska is looking for a seasonal IT Support Specialist to help get them prepared for Cruise Season opening. This person will be assisting retail partners get their hardware and software set up before season opening. Schedule will be 40/hours a week but some weekend work and flexibility with schedules is needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* This position evaluates and resolves user hardware and software problems.
* Installs PCs, printers, software, and terminals.
* Position also assists with file server back-ups and installs data/voice cabling and connections.
* Coordinates vendor-provided repairs and maintenance.
* Maintains inventory of computer hardware and assists with departmental projects as required by departmental supervision.
* 2+ years' experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, Desktop, or related role
* Experience troubleshooting hardware (Laptops, Desktops, Printers) and software based issues
* Assist with file server back-ups and installs, data / voice cabling and connections
* Basic understanding of networking issues (DNS, TCP/IP, etc.)
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in dynamic, fast paced environment
* Dedication to delivering excellent customer service
