Job Description
An employer is looking for a Software Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of software solutions primarily using Java and C++ in a Linux (RHEL) environment. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include developing object‑oriented software, working with modern Java features (including JavaFX and Java 21), managing source code with Git, and collaborating within Eclipse-based development environments. The engineer supports system integration and data exchange through RESTful and gRPC services, interfaces with databases such as MySQL, and deploys and maintains software on secure platforms. The role also involves troubleshooting, adhering to secure development practices, participating in occasional travel to support program needs, and operating within classified environments, requiring an active DoD security clearance.
