Job Description
Our customer is seeking a Site field engineer with focus on mission-critical electrical systems supporting commissioning and validation of DC power architecture within hyperscale data centers. This role focuses on ensuring performance, reliability, and safety of DC distribution systems supporting IT loads and emerging high-efficiency power designs. Duties will include support during/throughout system inspection, commissioning, and testing of critical power infrastructure in a hyperscale data center construction environment. This role ensures all electrical systems are installed, validated, and tested in alignment with design intent and strict uptime/availability requirements. The engineer will partner with commissioning agents (CxA), electrical contractors, and client stakeholders to drive execution from installation through Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and turnover.
All individuals of the selected firm that are working with client information will be required to comply with the client’s Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and will be expected to keep confidential information secure.
This service is not intended to take the place of the responsibilities of the Engineer of Record for the projects and there are no requirements for providing PE stamped or sealed documents while performing the services.
Compensation:
$50hr to $75/hr + OT
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
5-7+ years experience in:
Electrical construction and commissioning in mission-critical facilities
Experience supporting:
Cx firms, Owner’s Rep, or EPC environments
Strong knowledge of data center electrical systems, including:
Medium/low voltage distribution
UPS and battery systems
Backup generators and ATS/STS
Power monitoring and distribution systems
Experience with:
Hands-on experience with:
Direct Current (DC) power systems in data centers or telecom
Battery technologies (Lithium-ion, VRLA)
Rectifiers and DC distribution panels
Strong understanding of:
DC load behavior and efficiency optimization
Power conversion (AC → DC)
Ability to read and interpret:
DC schematics and system layouts
Experience with:
Power system commissioning workflows (PFC, FPT, IST)
One-line diagrams and electrical schematics
Understanding of redundancy topologies (N, N+1, 2N)
Strong communication across trades + client stakeholders
Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
Extremely detail-oriented (required for commissioning signoff)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in a construction environment
PE certification
Engineering degree or equivalent experience
