Job Description
The Senior Buyer / Procurement Manager oversees strategic purchasing activities to support a high performance manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for managing global suppliers, optimizing cost and quality, and ensuring a reliable supply of materials and components. The ideal candidate brings deep procurement expertise, strong negotiation skills, and hands on experience working with international vendors and complex manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead procurement activities for raw materials, components, equipment, and services across domestic and international markets.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support production goals, cost reduction initiatives, and long term supply chain stability.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify global suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure competitive advantages.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and compliance with quality, delivery, and service expectations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, planning, and quality teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and global supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions.
• Responsible for purchase order creation, approvals, and procurement workflows to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Resolve supplier issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or capacity constraints.
• Lead cost saving initiatives, value engineering efforts, and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate procurement data, contracts, and supplier records within ERP/MRP systems.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and inventory optimization efforts.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–10 years of procurement or supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing international suppliers, global sourcing, and cross border logistics.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM structures, and production planning.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
