Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Scrum Master that leverages servant leadership to guide development teams and the organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. This person will coach team members to higher levels of agile maturity at a pace that is sustainable for the team and organization. The Senior Scrum Master will organize and lead scrum ceremonies. This person will build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised with an emphasis on solutioning. The Senior Scrum Master will facilitate work completion without coercion, assigning, or dictating work. They will also actively mentor key agile roles (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Program Managers, Devs, Bas, etc) and will participate in leadership conversations to provide best practice knowledge pertaining to the alignment of existing teams and creation of new teams.
Responsibilities
• Guide, coach and motivate multiple teams with the goal of increasing productivity
• Provide leadership and direction for LEAN development strategy
• Be passionate about Scrum, Kanban, Lean Thinking, Lean Startup, eXtreme Programming, SAFe, etc.
• Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies across multiple teams; mentor start-ups
• Communicate planning and development timelines
• Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals and deliverables that support business goals
• Monitor schedule and cost performance
• Identify, monitor and analyze strategic KPIs; create value/ROI based reporting
• Ideate, prepare and present reports on team progress and success; mentor other Scrum Masters on reporting and help foster a culture of agile analytics
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs and the ability to mentor others to do this by both example and thru coaching
• Create, report and evangelize KPIs across the organization for stakeholder buy-in
• Coach team members in both the function and creation of agile documentation including: stories, backlogs, product roadmaps, burndowns, velocity tracking, close rates, KPI dashboards, etc.
• Remove impediments to team performance and mentor others to do this by both example and thru coaching
• Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
• Provide feasibly solutions that meet or exceed business needs by understanding relevant long-term business goals and product vision while having insight into current system functionality and business processes
• Align work with strategic goals and responsibly and respectfully challenge efforts that aren’t aligned
• Guide the team on how to get the most out of self-organizing teams and how to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum framework
• Evangelize agile concepts to grow enterprise agile maturity
• Ensure team members are abiding by the DoD (definition of done)
• Aid in the on-going development of agile product owners and scrum masters

• Good Business Acumen – Understanding business implications of decisions
• Displays thorough knowledge of the technologies used by teams throughout the organization

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in a Scrum Master or Agile heavy role across multiple teams diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theory
Demonstrated track-record of agile coaching and mentorship
Demonstrated experience with Agile methodology and proven ability to lead teams to increased productivity
Ability to lead agile trainings across an organization, as well as upskill agile talent
Strong communication and professionalism
Demonstrated ability to intake Lean project requests and translate them into an executable delivery plan, including clear scope/acceptance criteria, fixed vs. flexible success metrics, and active management of milestones, dependencies, risks/issues, and change control through delivery environment.
