Job Description

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of claims and customer inquiries, including complex, high‑priority, and urgent requests, while meeting established performance standards. Responsibilities include initiating and responding to real‑time messaging inquiries in a prompt and professional manner, and ensuring payments and settlements are processed in accordance with contractual requirements and internal policies.
The role involves responding to benefits and claims‑related inquiries from providers, members, groups, consultants, and internal or external partners in a timely manner. Additional duties include analyzing data related to audits, claims impact assessments, inventory oversight, and operational reporting; creating, monitoring, and researching query and report data; and ensuring the accuracy of benefit changes and reconciliation of benefit accumulators.
This position also supports system testing and validation to confirm the accuracy of new or updated implementations, participates in cross‑functional and vendor interactions, and assists with the development, mentoring, and training of claims staff. The role may perform any additional tasks and responsibilities associated with the Claims Coordinator function as assigned by management.
