BAS / HVAC Controls Technician

Insight Global is hiring a skilled HVAC Controls Technician with hands-on experience in Tridium Niagara N4, Honeywell building automation systems. This role involves installing, programming, commissioning, and servicing BAS and HVAC control systems in commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter with strong controls knowledge and the ability to work independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission HVAC control systems, BAS devices, and networked controllers.
- Program and troubleshoot Niagara N4, Honeywell AX, or Tridium/ Honeywell platforms.
- Integrate third-party systems using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols.
- Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions on BAS equipment.
- Build, modify, and link graphical user interface pages.
- Collaborate with HVAC supervisor.
- Document as-built changes and prepare service and commissioning reports.
- Provide support and basic end-user training.
- Process & complete all job-related documentation daily.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic direct digital control systems.
- Operate and perform repairs, calibrations, or modifications to the building automation system.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with BAS/HVAC controls installation, programming, or service.
- Hands-on knowledge of Niagara N4, Honeywell/ Tridium platform.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, riser diagrams, and submittals.
- Familiarity with low-voltage wiring, terminations, and network communication basics.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with strong communication and customer service abilities.

Preferred Skills:
- Niagara N4 certification or OEM training.
- Experience with energy dashboards and graphical design.
- Basic networking knowledge such as IP addressing and switches.
- Experience with BAS retrofits, system upgrades, or integrations.
- Experience in mechanical HVAC systems.
