Job Description
5+ years experience with Veritas NetBackup, SAN attached storage, VADP (VMWare) and NDMP configurations, tape libraries, Windows and Linux operating systems, physical and virtual systems, and other enterprise level backup hardware/software. Develop backup and recovery plans, create/modify reports/processes/procedures, monitor system health, optimize system performance, proactively fix issues, identify and resolve network anomalies, conduct trends and analysis, and test/validate backups with quarterly restores. Experience with bare metal retores is required. Perform annual DISA STIGs compliance checks on all servers and installed software. Notify appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves. Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.

VCS-282: Veritas NetBackup 9.1 Administrator
or
VCS-283: Veritas NetBackup 9.1 and NetBackup Appliance 4.1 Administrator
or
VCS-326: Administration of Veritas Backup Exec 21 exam
