Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join one of our clients in the utility construction industry. They are one of the largest utility repair and storm response companies in the southeast. They will be responsible for journal entries, ar/ap, general ledger, manual deposits, balance sheet recons, etc. This will be a position that gains more opportunity and exposure to more complex accounting responsibilities as they go along. They will report directly to a group controller and will be onsite in Hartselle, AL.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience in a bookkeeper role or something similar (jr. Accountant, financial analyst, etc.)
Experience with weekly journal entries
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Knowledge of AR/AP
General Ledger knowledge
Experience with manual deposits
Balance sheet reconciliations
Strong professionalism, communication, reliability

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Quickbooks
Experience in the construction or utilities field (or something similar)
