Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join one of our clients in the utility construction industry. They are one of the largest utility repair and storm response companies in the southeast. They will be responsible for journal entries, payroll accounting, balance sheet recons, charge-outs, etc. Depending on their experience, they will also be entrusted with month end close and profit/loss reviews. They will report directly to a group controller and will be onsite in Hartselle, AL. The salary range is between $70,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.

3+ years of experience in accounting
Experience with weekly journal entries, payroll accounting, charge-outs
Balance sheet reconciliations
Strong experience with Excel
Strong professionalism, communication, reliability
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar field
Quickbooks
Profit & Loss experience
Experience in the construction or utilities field (or something similar)
