Job Description

This candidate will be working as an HR Manager for a smaller start up company in Birmingham, AL. They are in the utility construction industry, and have around 180 total employees. They are owned by a larger regional construction company based in Hartselle, AL. They will be responsible for creating structure and expectations across their team, and helping carry out the vision of the CEO.A large piece of that will be creating a performance evaluation plan. The salary range upon conversion is between $65,000-$85,000 depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in human resources
Experience creating performance evaluation plans and executing that plan
Experience creating and improving internal company processes (benefits, communication platforms, pto, etc.)
Documenting those new processes
Ability to work onsite in BHM up to 5 days a week
Willing to travel around 5 days a month (could be a one hour drive to Hartselle, or could be a flight to an HR/utilities conference)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

HR certifications (SHRM, etc.)
Background in construction/utilities used to working with field employees
